How did I take out my insurance policy?

You have booked your trip via an internet portal.

At the time of booking you have the option to simultaneously take out travel insurance. In order to do this, you choose to tick the checkbox. As soon as you confirm your booking, your insurance policy comes into effect.

To make sure you that you actually intended to conclude the insurance, we sent you an email, which included the following attachments: your insurance policy, the General Terms and Conditions, and a Product Information Sheet. In these documents you can find all details about your insurance policy.

What do the specifications on my bank statement mean?

When the insurance premium is debited from your account, a 9-digit combination (e.g. 123456789) or 15-character combination (e.g.123456789G12345) will be shown on your bank statement.

This is your personal policy number, which can be found on your Insurance Policy. With this number we can easily identify you in our data system. We therefore advise you to have this number ready when contacting us in order to avoid any mix ups.

My account has been debited and I don’t know why.

If we debited your account, this means that you had concluded an insurance contract with us. You had explicitly chosen this contract on one of the websites of our cooperation partners (e.g. fluege.de).

Here you had ticked the corresponding checkbox and accepted the conclusion of the contract. Insurance contracts automatically renew every year unless a notice of cancellation is given by the policyholder. Therefore it could happen that in the following year we debit your account again.

In the case that you no longer need your travel insurance, you can write us a written notice of cancellation at any time. However, keep in mind that the written notice of cancellation must be sent in due time. Accurate disclosures about notice periods can be found in the General Terms and Conditions. Should you require further information regarding your debit, please contact our customer service. We will be happy to assist you.

Please have your policy number ready when calling. You can find this number on your bank statement or on your insurance policy.

I have received a payment reminder. What should I do?

In the past you booked a trip on a website of one of our cooperation partners (e.g. fluege.de) where you had chosen to take out a travel insurance contract.

At the time of booking you indicated your payment preference (direct debit or credit card). For this reason, we attempted to debit your account charge your credit card. Unfortunately we did not succeed. With our payment reminder we want to inform you that we can only assure insurance coverage after a payment of the outstanding balance is completed. Therefore we kindly ask you to read our reminder carefully and follow the necessary steps to make sure your premium payment reaches us in time, so that you may have a carefree holiday. What is the cost of the premium in the second year?

In the first year, you are offered a premium discount. From the 2nd year, our regular tariff applies. The exact cost of your regular insurance premium can be found on your insurance policy and on the Product Information Sheet.
